About 57 Turners Mill Road
The garden is cottage-style with plenty of colour throughout the year. Steve designed and constructed a pergola, providing some privacy for patio dining. Climbing roses and clematis are being trained along horizontal wires. Perimeter fence panels are also covered with a mix of perennial and annual climbers. Tomatoes and green beans are also trained up the fence. With space at a premium, vertical planting is a must! We have put in plants like foxgloves, penstemon and salvias plus single daisy type flowers to attract pollinators. We have also managed to squeeze in a small water feature, a Hotbin composter, potting shed and water butt into our compact plot.
The front garden comprises a large raised border, which provides late Summer and Autumn colour with Salvia Amistad blooming until Christmas. Colourful plants include:- miscanthus, scabious, poppies, hollyhocks, verbena bonariensis, buddleja, dahlias, helenium, asters, rudbeckias and salvias.
