“The National Garden Scheme raises substantial funds for nursing and health charities by offering unique access to exceptional private gardens across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Isles. The money is generated from garden admissions, refreshments and plant sales.
Founded in 1927, the National Garden Scheme is the most significant charitable funder of nursing in the UK, supporting beneficiaries such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carers Trust, and Parkinson’s UK.
The Role:
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead the National Garden Scheme into its next chapter, particularly as we approach our centenary in 2027. The CEO will be responsible for the operational leadership of the organisation, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, and key partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with exemplary ethical standards, financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
