Parasol-UK was founded by garden owner, Polly Eddis. Polly and her family have opened their garden, Horkesley Hall in Essex, with the National Garden Scheme since 1997 and when she set up her business, she knew that this was the charity she really wanted to support. She and the National Garden Scheme share the belief that time spent in beautiful gardens brings huge benefits to us all, and the desire to support a superb selection of nursing and health charities which at some point will benefit almost everyone.
Parasol-UK also sustains four generations of one family in India, whose workmanship and passion for their parasols is inspiring; each parasol is a waterproof hand-made canopy with a plain cream outer and block-printed interiors on hand turned wooden frames in pale, polished cedar.
“Parasol-UK is delighted to donate 3% of every parasol sale to the National Garden Scheme and proud to be an official supporter to a charity which offers so much both to garden lovers and to causes close to our hearts,” says Polly.
