30 year partnership with Marie Curie celebrated with a silver award
We’re delighted that the long standing 30 year partnership between the National Garden Scheme and Marie Curie has been recognised at the Corporate Engagement Awards in the Most Effective Long-Term Commitment category, taking home a silver award!
For 30 years, our organisations have worked together, united by a shared belief in the positive impact that gardens, nature and community can have on people’s wellbeing. Through the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors, the National Garden Scheme has contributed more than £12.2 million to support Marie Curie’s work caring for people living with a terminal illness and their families.
This award celebrates not only the strength and longevity of the partnership, but also the thousands of people who have opened their gardens, volunteered their time and supported both organisations over the past three decades. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together!
Richard Lee, Director of Fundraising at Marie Curie said: “We’re incredibly proud to see our partnership with the National Garden Scheme recognised at the Corporate Engagement Awards. The Scheme is our longest standing partner, with a real synergy and energy between both organisations. We owe them and their incredible garden openers and volunteers a huge debt of gratitude.”
