For more than 90 years the National Garden Scheme has existed to raise funds for nursing and health charities by opening gardens. During that time we have given away nearly £60 million and the gardens have never closed, not even during the Second World War. That is until now. With our gardens closed we are not able to raise funds to support our nursing and health beneficiaries. We are asking people to help us make up the shortfall by giving donations and, while the gardens are closed, we are offering people virtual garden visits to enjoy, filmed by our garden owners.
