Gilfach, Rowen

An acre of country garden on south facing slope with magnificent views of the River Conwy and mountains; set in 35 acres of farm and woodland. Collection of mature shrubs is added to yearly; woodland garden, herbaceous border and small pool. Opens for By Arrangement visits from May to August.

Llwydiarth, Mynytho

Just three years ago this garden was an overgrown field, but now with hedges, trees, shrubs, grasses, perennials and roses planted, it is already developing character and interest. A large wildlife pond, filled with aquatic plants and surrounded with tons of sandstone, dug from the field itself, now makes a stunning rockery. There is a lush green Mediterranean style back yard. Opens for By Arrangement visits from May to September for groups of between 10 and 30.

Llys-y-Gwynt, Llandygai

Interesting, harmonious and very varied two acre garden inc magnificent views of Snowdonia. An exposed site inc Bronze Age burial cairn. Winding paths, varied levels planted to create shelter, year-round interest, microclimates and varied rooms. Ponds, bridge and other features use local materials and craftspeople. Wildlife encouraged, well organised compost. Opens for By Arrangement visits all year.

Plasglasgwm, Penmachno

Discover a hidden place tucked away in the foothills of Snowdonia. Five acres of gardens and grounds created by the owners over 30 years at this historic mountain farm. Hedges of yew, box and beech complement mixed and herbaceous borders, a re-introduced orchard, natural woodland and natural areas. Wander along the pathways to discover all the secret corners of this C16 farm holding. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 5th April to 29th September for groups of up to 18.

Ty Cadfan Sant, Tywyn

Large eco friendly garden. In the front, shrubbery, mixed flower beds and roses surround a mature copper beech. Up six steps the largely productive back garden has an apiary in the orchard, fruit, vegetables, flowers and a polytunnel, plenty of seating. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 30th March to 29th September.

Tyn Y Pant, Boduan

A sheltered, tranquil, rural garden developing around mature trees, shrubs and ponds. Highlights: veg garden, flower beds, bluebell banks, a mini woodland walk and plenty of places to sit. Emphasis is given to reusing reclaimed materials and gardening organically to fully benefit wildlife and the environment. By growing plants from seeds and cuttings the garden is constantly changing and maturing. Opens for By Arrangement visits from June to September for groups of up to 20.
