Aulden Farm, Leominster

Informal country garden, thankfully never at its Sunday best! Three acres planted with wildlife in mind. Emphasis on structure and form, with a hint of quirkiness, a garden to explore with eclectic planting. Irises thrive around a natural pond, shady beds and open borders, seats abound, feels mature but ever evolving. Our own ice cream and home-burnt cakes, Lemon Chisel a speciality. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to September.

Bury Court Farmhouse, Wigmore

¾ acre garden surrounds the 1820’s stone farmhouse (not open). The courtyard contains a pond, mixed borders, fruit trees and shrubs, with steps up to a terrace which leads to lawn and vegetable plot. The main garden (semi-walled) is on two levels with mixed borders, greenhouse, pond, mini-orchard, many spring flowers, and wildlife areas. Year-round colour. Opens for By Arrangement visits from February to October for groups of up to 30.

Castle Moat House, Dilwyn

A two acre plot consisting of a more formal cottage garden that wraps around the house. The remaining area is a tranquil wild garden with paths to a Medieval castle motte, part filled moat and Medieval fish and fowl ponds. A haven for wildlife and people alike. The garden contains some steep banks and deep water, with limited access to motte, moat and ponds. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to 7th October for groups of between 10 and 30.

Coddington Vineyard, Coddington

Five acres inc a two acre vineyard, listed farmhouse, threshing barn and cider mill. Garden with terraces, wildflower meadow, woodland with massed spring bulbs, large pond with wildlife, stream garden with masses of primula and hosta. Hellebores and snowdrops, Hamamelis and parottia. Azaleas followed by roses and perennials. Lots to see all year. Developing year on year, planting for autumn colour. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 19th February to 30th October for groups of 10+.

Hillcroft, Coombes Moor

The garden is part of a five acre site on the lower slopes of Wapley Hill in the beautiful Lugg Valley. The highlight in mid summer is the romantic Rose Walk, featured on Gardeners’ World in 2023. It combines over sixty roses with mixed herbaceous planting set in an old cider apple orchard. In addition to the garden around the house, there is a secret garden, wildflower meadow and a vegetable area. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 24th June to 26th July for groups of up to 40.

Ivy Croft, Ivington Green

Now over 25 years old, the garden shows signs of maturity, inc some surprising trees. A very wide range of plants is displayed, blending with countryside and providing habitat for wildlife. The cottage is surrounded by borders, snowdrops, raised beds, trained pear trees and containers giving all year interest. Paths lead to the wider garden inc mixed borders, vegetables framed with espalier apples. Opens for By Arrangement visits all year.

Lower House Farm, Sutton

Award-winning country garden surrounding C16 farm-house (not open) on working farm. Herbaceous borders, roses, box-parterre, productive kitchen and cutting garden, spring garden, ha-ha allowing wonderful views. Wildlife pond. Walkers and dogs can enjoy numerous footpaths across the farm land. There is spectacular autumn colour and dahlias. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to September for groups of 12+.

Revilo, Wellington

⅓ acre garden surrounding bungalow inc mixed borders, meadow and woodland areas, scented garden, late summer bed, gravelled herb garden and kitchen garden. Flower arranger’s garden. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 13th April to 14th September for groups of between 10 and 25.

Shuttifield Cottage, Birchwood

Superb position and views. Unexpected three acre plantsman’s garden, extensive herbaceous borders, many unusual trees, shrubs, perennials, colour themed for all year interest. Anemones, magnolias,bluebells, rhododendrons, azaleas and camelias in the spring. Large old rose garden with many spectacular climbers. Small deer park, and walks in a 20 acre wood containing wildlife ponds and wildflowers. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to 29th September.

Weston Hall, Weston-under-Penyard,

Six acres surrounding Elizabethan house (not open). Large walled garden with herbaceous borders, vegetables and fruit, overlooked by Millennium folly. Lawns and mature and recently planted trees and shrubs, with many unusual varieties. Orchard, ornamental ponds and lake. Four generations in the family, but still evolving year on year. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to September for groups of between 5 and 30.
