Serendi, Letchworth Garden City

Massed snowdrops and other spring bulbs. Many different areas within a well designed garden: silver birch grove, a ‘dribble of stones’, rill, contemporary knot garden, gravel area with alliums. Later in the year an abundance of roses climbing five pillars, perennials, grasses and dahlias. A greenhouse for over wintering, a Griffin glasshouse with, Tibochina, Aeoniums, Pelargoniums and more. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 7th April to October for groups of between 10 and 25.

9 Tannsfield Drive, Hemel Hempstead

A town garden to surprise. Dense planting together with the ever-present sound of water, create an intimate and welcoming oasis of calm. Narrow paths divide, leading visitors on a voyage of discovery of the garden’s many features. The owners regularly experiment with the planting scheme which ensures the ‘look’ of the garden changes from year to year. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 17th June to 18th August for groups of between 10 and 15.

Thundridge Hill House, Ware

Well established garden of approx 2½ acres; good variety of plants, shrubs and roses, attractive hedges. Visitors often ask for the unusual yellow only bed, ‘A most popular garden to visit’. Youngsbury was visited briefly by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Opens for By Arrangement visits from April to October for groups of 15+.
