Bugbrooke is a large, picturesque village with its historic centre close to St. Michael’s Church and the Millennium Green where the interesting and contrasting gardens are located. Each garden has a distinct character and they have been created, planted and maintained by their friendly and enthusiastic owners. Opens Sunday 2nd July.
An Edwardian home set in ½ acre with different levels of patio areas and surrounded by trees. A rose garden with English rose varieties everywhere inc climbers on walls, a rose frame and a very long pergola winding its way down to a pear tree with seating and borders. Opens Sunday 2nd July and Sunday 23rd July.
Attractive village in Northamptonshire uplands near to Ravensthorpe reservoir and Top Ardles Wood Woodland Trust which have bird watching and picnic opportunities. Established and developing gardens set in beautiful countryside displaying a wide range of plants, many available from the nursery that now only opens on NGS open days. Opens Sunday 2nd July.
Please come and celebrate summer in the woods when the roses and lillies will have taken over from the azaleas and rhododendrons. A wonderful opportunity to see all that has been developed in the woods since Timothy Whiteley acquired them in 1980 with the continuation of his legacy. Opens Saturday 15th July.
Blatherwycke Hall was demolished in the 1940s and its gardens lost. In 2011 the renovation of the derelict 4 acre walled gardens started. So far, a large kitchen garden, wall trained fruit trees, extensive herbaceous borders, parterre, wildflower meadows, tropical bed, shrub borders and large arboretum have been planted. Opens Sunday 23rd July.
Eleven gardens in the historic villages of Long Buckby and Long Buckby Wharf, inc a new garden and a reopening one. The gardeners have been busy creating new borders, features and extensively replanting, offering our visitors something new to enjoy. We welcome visitors old and new to see our wonderful variety of gardens which offer something for everyone. Opens Sunday 23rd July.
The Green Patch is a 2½ acre, Green Flag award-winning community garden, nestled in the heart of England. We have hens, ducks, beehives, ponds, children’s play area, orchard and so much more. We rely on our wonderful volunteers to make our friendly and magical garden the warm and welcoming place it is. Opens Sunday 30th July.
