Northamptonshire gardens open in July

Ravensthorpe Nursery, Ravensthorpe

Approx 1 acre garden wrapped around the nursery with beautiful views. Planted with many unusual shrubs and herbaceous perennials over the last 30+ yrs to reflect the wide range of plants produced. Opens from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July.

Oaklea, Irchester

An interesting and deceptive garden featuring courtyard area with succulents, seasonal pots, troughs and baskets. Borders well-stocked with shrubs and herbaceous perennials together with climbing plants and roses giving colour throughout the growing season. Two lawned areas, a pond planted with plants and stocked with fish. Opens Sunday 14th July.

C2C Grows - Community Allotment Garden, Northampton

C2C Grows is a community allotment project run by the charity C2C Social Action. The project offers social and therapeutic horticultural sessions for women referred to us who may be experiencing poor health and social disadvantage. The project takes place on a triple sized allotment with several polytunnels, a greenhouse, fruit cages, no dig raised beds and a peaceful wildlife area with pond. Opens Sunday 21st July.

Maidwell Gardens, Maidwell

A friendly village with horses exercising daily and often sheep being herded through. The gardens opening are varied with many flowering plants and shrubs. Opens Sunday 21st July.

Woodcote Villa, Long Buckby

In a much admired location, this stunning canal side garden has a large variety of plants, styles, structures and unusual bygones. Bulbs and hellebores abound in Mar, colourful planting in July/Sept, many pots, all set against a backdrop of trees and shrubs in themed areas. Places to sit and watch the narrowboats and wildlife. Opens Sunday 21st July.

The Green Patch, Kettering

The Green Patch is a 2½ acre, Green Flag award-winning community garden, nestled in the heart of England. We have hens, ducks, beehives, ponds, children’s play area, orchard and so much more. We rely on our wonderful volunteers to make our friendly and magical garden the warm and welcoming place it is. Opens Sunday 28th July.

Nonsuch, Wellingborough

⅓ acre country garden within a conservation boundary stone wall. Mature trees, enhanced by many rare and unusual shrubs and perennial plants. A garden for all seasons with several seating areas. Opens Sunday 28th July.
