Nestled in the heart of Dyfi Valley this small, cottage style garden is haven for birds and pollinating insects. Narrow paths take you around flower and vegetable beds, to greenhouses, polytunnel and old stables. Planting is informal with mostly perennials and shrubs. Secluded seating areas allow the visitor to relax and enjoy different aspects of the garden with views down to River Dyfi. A three acre cottage garden with a stunning cherry blossom orchard. Explore our knot garden, formal rose garden, rockery and pond. There are an abundance of shrubs and ornamental trees. Discover our archaic sundials, fossilised wood and stone heads. Wander through an additional nine acres of woodland with borrowed views of the Severn Valley. A stream side garden in the Maelienydd. Approx one acre, inc species rich meadow with mown paths to wander through, colourful herbaceous beds and borders, vegetable plot and small apiary, wetland and woodland plantings. Pollinators, butterflies, birds and amphibians in abundance. The garden combines peace, beauty and colour with rich wildlife in the midst of glorious scenery. An intimate jewel in the town with many interesting plants and unusual features where the sounds of water fill the air. Densely planted garden with Gothic arch and zig zag path leading to shell grotto, bonsai garden and fernery. You can also explore the ground floor of this C17 barrel maker’s cottage and walk into a large garden room which houses a museum of tools and motor memorabilia. A 1½ acre garden developed and designed by retired nursery owners and RHS gold medallists, around existing semi mature trees with island beds, mature grasses and shrubs to give permanent structure: series of three wildlife ponds, a streamside garden, rose and clematis pergola, herbaceous borders and small potager garden. Colour co-ordination has been foremost in mind during the design to give a flowing feel. Opens for By Arrangement visits from May to July for groups of between 8 and 12.

A rural ¾ acre cottage garden set in Snowdonia National Park with magnificent views. Large variety of plants, and planting themes on a sloping site, with challenging conditions. Numerous ‘rooms’ throughout providing seating, vistas and interest; inc an allotment, bluebell wood, wildlife pond, secret garden and water features. Planting for colour and pollination throughout the year for resident bees with over 80 varieties of rose. A young garden created since 2015 on boulder clay from open space. In a beautiful setting in the heart of the Radnor valley, the garden is part of a restored C16 farmstead, with long views to the hills, and the Radnor Forest. It is a traditional garden reclaimed from the wild, using locally grown plants and seeds, and with a herb patio, wildflower meadows and a short woodland walk. It is designed for all the senses: sight, sound and smell. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 31st March to September.

Llysdinam Gardens are among the loveliest in mid Wales, especially noted for a magnificent display of rhododendrons and azaleas in May. Covering some six acres, they command sweeping views down the Wye Valley. Successive family members have developed the gardens over the last 150 years to inc woodland with specimen trees, large herbaceous and shrub borders and a water garden, all of which provide varied, colourful planting throughout the year. The Victorian walled kitchen garden and extensive greenhouses grow a wide variety of vegetables, hothouse fruit and exotic plants. Opens for By Arrangement visits from 15th January to 16th December.
South facing, compact level garden on village edge, originally The Manse. An eclectic mix of areas with different themes. Colourful annuals, perennials and shrubs, many homegrown from seed or cuttings. Over 100 containers, with an emphasis on recycling and upcycling. Robin and Philippa Herbert have worked in the garden at The Neuadd since 1999 and have planted many unusual trees and shrubs in the dramatic setting of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. One of the major features is the walled garden, which has both traditional and decorative planting of fruit, vegetables and flowers. There is also a woodland walk with ponds and streams and a formal garden with flowering terraces. Opens for By Arrangement visits from May to 1st September for groups of up to 12.
The garden at the Old Coach House is a quiet haven of rooms as you move along a winding path edged by the top borders of shrubs, colourful perennials and circular lawns. An archway of climbers leads to the lower lawn, flanked by beech hedging, apple trees, a greenhouse, fruit bushes, vegetable patch, shrubs, hostas and ferns, arriving at a private quiet riverside woodland glade. A five acre, elevated, hillside setting with beautiful views. Garden is comprised of a herbaceous garden, ornamental trees, kitchen garden and wildflower meadow. The herbaceous area is very colourful mid-spring to mid-summer. Several Cornus, Acer and Betula varieties also Parrotia, Sorbus, Quercus and Platanus; the meadow contains common spotted orchids. This large cottage garden in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park is around ¾ acre and comprises a shaded area, herbaceous borders, vegetable beds and wilded areas. Wild orchids grow freely in unmown grass along with other wild flowers. The garden is organic and free of herbicides and pesticides.
