Selhurst Park; a Downland beauty
Join garden owner Sarah Green for a virtual visit to this beautiful garden in the shadow of the South Downs.
A closer look
A series of garden rooms and a mix of traditional and exotic plantings single Selhurst Park out as somewhere special.
The varied gardens surrounding the beautiful Georgian flint house (not open) are approached by a chestnut avenue and there’s a flint walled garden with a mature 160ft herbaceous border packed with unusual planting along with rose, hellebore and hydrangea beds. The pool garden has exotic palms and grasses divided from a formal knot and herb garden by espalier apples. With its kitchen and walled fruit garden and lovely views to the rolling South Downs, it’s a garden work adding to your favourites for when it opens next.
