The Beeches in Barcombe, East Sussex To Appear On National Television On Monday 23 October
We are delighted to announce that the Walled Garden at The Beeches, Barcombe is the subject of an hour long documentary film to be screened on BBC Television next week.
The programme is entitled ‘A Year in an English Garden: Flicker+ Pulse’ and will broadcast on Monday 23rd October at 9pm on BBC4.
The Beeches is described as ‘a beautiful 18th century country house set in 8 acres of land and gardens in the Sussex countryside. Within the grounds sits an 18th century oak-framed barn and a 300 year old walled garden with cut flowers, vegetables, salads and fruit. There is a separate orchard and rose garden, and not to forget to mention the herbaceous borders and hot border.
The gates of The Beeches will next open for the National Garden Scheme in 2018, on Sunday 27 May and Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 July from 2-5pm. Admission £5, children free. Home-made teas.
Visits can also be organised by arrangement from June to August for groups of 10-16 max. Teas, and wine for early evening visits.
