The Manor House, Bledlow has opened for the National Garden Scheme for 50 Years!

On Wednesday the Buckinghamshire Team visited The Manor House, Bledlow, the home of Lord Carington.

Lord Carington has opened his garden for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) for the last 50 years continuously. The photo shows Maggie Bateson (Buckinghamshire County Organiser) presenting Lord Carington with a NGS sundial to commemorate his 50th year of opening. Over the years he has raised £123,683.82.

When informed of this award Lord Carington said ‘it is his pleasure to offer his gardens to the NGS.’

Thank you Lord Carington for your continuous support of the National Garden Scheme.
