The National Garden Scheme (NGS) Donates £1.5 Million to Cancer Centre Appeal

  • The National Garden Scheme has pledged £1.5 million to The Chesterfield Royal Macmillan Cancer Centre Appeal
  • The state-of- the art new centre will be called the ‘NGS Macmillan Unit’
  • It will alleviate pressure on the current hospital site and offer cancer sufferers vital treatment, care and support
  • The National Garden Scheme is Macmillan’s largest single donor

Chief Executive of the National Garden Scheme, George Plumptre said: “The NGS is delighted to be making such a significant contribution to this new unit which will so improve the care and treatment available to cancer sufferers in the area. It demonstrates the strength of our partnership with Macmillan and our wider commitment to healthcare in the UK as the most significant charitable funder of nursing and caring in the country.”
