C’siders visit Holworth Farmhouse

“Despite the weather the garden looked fantastic, and the rain drops on some of the plants added to their beauty. Also, the homemade cakes were superb.”

On a rainy day at the end of July, as part of our Gardens & Health programme, the C’siders cancer support group visited the garden at Holworth Farmhouse in Dorset. Garden Owners Anthony and Philippa Bush first opened their garden for National Garden Scheme visitors in 1994, with this year being the last they plan to open.

As with the rest of July, the weather was less than ideal but armed with umbrellas and smiles, the group still enjoyed walking around this tranquil garden and tucking into a delicious afternoon tea!

Visits to National Garden Scheme gardens are offered to staff and service users from the beneficiary charities that we support as part of our Gardens & Health programme. They provide a moment of respite and restoration for many.
