Have your own plant and produce sale
If you love to propagate plants, have a glut of courgettes, or a wealth of homemade chutney and jams, why not hold your own plant and produce sale?
Set up a seed exchange
Ask people to donate seeds from plants that are flourishing in their own garden, or seeds that were surplus to their needs and ask guests for a 50p donation for each packet. It’s a great way to introduce new plants to your garden.
Garden produce competition
Invite guests to bring their roundest apple, biggest courgette, or flower themed bake to enter your Great British Garden Party garden show for a small donation. Plants make great prizes!
Goody bags and cake sales
Too much cake left over? Have some goody bags ready for your guests to fill and make a donation to take away. Or package up some home-made biscuits or brownies to sell as souvenirs!
Share the recipe for your favourite cake
Type or write out the recipe of the favourite cake that you have made for the party and pass onto your guests for a 50p donation, they can take a copy, or a photo with their phone
Book sale
Why not add a bring and buy book sale to your fundraising? It’s a wonderful way to share all those great books that kept you company during lockdown and to pick up some new ones! Simply ask your friends to bring some along to your party and charge a set amount for them to take one away.
