“I’m delighted to invite you to join me in gathering friends, family and colleagues for a Garden Get-together as part of the National Garden Scheme Great British Garden Party this year. We’re inviting everyone to get together in their garden, green space or office and to join in the fundraising for the vital nursing and health charities supported by the National Garden Scheme; charities that so many of us, our family and friends often rely on in times of need.”
Every penny raised through our annual fundraiser, the ‘Great British Garden Party’ makes a difference to the vital nursing and health charities we support. As the single largest funder of Marie Curie’s work, the longest standing partner of Macmillan Cancer Support and a key funder for Hospice UK, Carers Trust, Parkinson’s UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute our consistent and generous funding is of significant importance to the continuing operations of these charities.
Get your family and friends together for a small-scale event. A cake sale or plant sale at your front gates or an afternoon tea in the garden. Every penny raised makes a difference.
Perhaps you might want to get your village or street involved in a community fundraising event. There are always people happy to get involved.
Get your colleagues together and help build team spirit. What about a hosting a floral Friday, organising a cake sale or a team picnic in the park?
