The Old Barn, Swadlincote

2 acres in secluded hamlet, lots of interest. Lawned garden with colourful shrubs and tree-lined cobbled paths. Walled garden has fishpond, pergola with climbers and cottage garden planting. Large open views, rewilding meadow. A laid back peaceful garden to stroll around and relax. Lots of wildlife, inc our Peafowl. Plenty of drinks, cakes and seats. Redundant old church close, open to visitors. Opens Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August.

Tresillian House, Melton Mowbray

¾ acre garden re-established by current owner. Beautiful blue cedar trees, specimen tulip tree. Variety of trees, plants and bushes reinstated. Original bog garden and natural pond. Koi pond maturing well; glass garden room holds exhibitions and recitals. Vegetable plot. Unusual plants, trees and shrubs. Contemporary area added 2020. Quiet and tranquil oasis. Opens Sunday 25th August.
