About 1 Hinwick Close
This 70′ x 45′ garden has been transformed into a wildlife haven. Ponds and waterfalls have been created to imitate greatly-loved highland streams of the Isle of Bute and the watercress ponds of the foothills of Snowdonia’s Vardre mountains, where owner Patricia spent much of her childhood.
This is an eclectic garden, evoking connections to the owner’s favourite places: the seaside, ancient woodlands, cottage gardens; in the front garden there is even a nod to the classical formal Italian gardens of Tuscany.
Several seating areas offer views not only of the varied planting, but also of the many features within the garden. The lawn is bordered by planted beds on both sides, with the use of trees, shrubs and colourful floral displays.
The garden and access are on one level and are suitable for wheelchair users.
