About 148 Court Lane

This is a spacious garden, developed lovingly over 20 years and backs on to Dulwich Park giving a background of some splendid trees. From the wide sunny terrace framed by tall stands of golden bamboo and fan palms, step down into a garden designed with an artist’s eye for colour, form, texture and flow, creating a series of intimate interlocking spaces beneath some interesting mature trees and shrubs. An Indian bean tree, catalpa, makes a special focal point.

Holding it all together at a lower level are massed plantings of vibrant perennials, phlomis, agastache, poppies and rich purple cranesbills. The artist owner’s studio nestles under a canopy of trees and seats have been placed at special points to allow visitors to sit and enjoy the quiet woodland feel.

Plant sales and refreshments available.
