About 16 St Andrew's Road

We fell in love with the West-facing garden and big skies and set about creating a tropical sun trap to enjoy the sunny Deal afternoons and to recreate many of the colours of my Zimbabwean childhood. As we are in Kent we also put in a row of cordoned apple trees. We took out a pair of old garages giving us two levels in the garden and worked with a garden designer friend to create our vision. Coming into its fifth year the garden has matured and after the baking summer of 2022 we are welcoming a rather magnificent collection of giant echiums which can’t get enough sunshine.
