About 17a Baddlesmere Road

Apart from an old apple tree and flowering cherry, the garden was densely planted from scratch 9 years ago, into imported cow manure on top of impacted clay left by the builders. The garden is 60′ x 24′.
Spring starts with daffodils, forget-me-nots, tulips and a mass of alliums naturalised under the apple tree and roses. As the season progresses the 50+ roses start blooming, plus pelargoniums, petunias, hardy geraniums and shasta daisies. Late summer brings agapanthus, dahlias, cosmos and tithonia. As we are so close to the sea, there is very little frost and the flowering season starts early and finishes late. All rainwater drains into a storage tank and then a soakaway so tap water usage is reduced.
