18 Highfield Road

This small terraced garden packed with plants was designed by Melita and has evolved over the past 16 yrs. This plantswoman is a plantaholic and RHS Certificate holder. An attempt has been made to combine formality through structural planting which is softened by cottage style planting of perennials.

About 18 Highfield Road

The dense planting includes shrubs, herbaceous plants, supplemented with tender plants and some carefully placed pots. The front garden is on two tiers and has an Italianate style with topiary. Bamboos and taxus hedging give a secluded feel to the overlooked rear garden, which is also terraced. There is a small pond and a separate water feature.
