About 34 Buxton Gardens

Have you been to the Black&Bold yet? We are proud to say we’ve gained some fans in the past two years. Revisiting us a year later they found us “the same, but different”. That’s exactly why they are back. That’s exactly why we keep searching for the new and exciting ideas. The fans of the Open Garden Day repeatedly recognised our passion and knowledge that went into our “relaxed & wild” look. Some rediscovered with us an extraordinary side of plants familiar to them they grew as well, they thought were unremarkable.

Reimaging the traditional elements of a garden with us at Black&Bold with darkest reds, purple and copper spilled over the rockery and cottage garden on the banks of its ponds fed by the waterfall. Even the smallest meadow is black.

Don’t be disguised by the size of the garden. About 1000ft2 the Black&Bold is bigger on the inside. Make sure you plan about 45min to get your head around it. Not forgetting home-baked cakes with teas & coffee.

Black&Bold, the garden that is different, extraordinary and wild.
