About 43 Roding Road
A small west-facing Victorian terrace garden with a curved lawn surrounded by three mixed borders. The two main ones differ in planting as one is south-facing and sunny, the other north facing and partially shaded. Some plants are repeated throughout all the borders to unify the garden. They contain a mixture of trees (a winter flowering apricot, a flowering cherry and a Victorian plum), climbers, shrubs, perennials and annuals, mainly in blues, pinks and white, including roses, clematis, salvias, persicaria and unusual perennial geraniums. The patio area and side return are filled with pots, including scented pelargoniums and herbs. The garden was planted from scratch 10 years ago so is still establishing and maturing, particularly as areas are being replanted regularly. The front garden has a series of pots in hot colours.
