About Caversfield House

The garden and estate are managed with an emphasis on wildlife and ecology, using only organic methods. Aesthetics and catering for wildlife are equally important in the way the garden is managed. The garden has been under the current ownership for the past 23 years during which time they have developed upon the existing features, adding a large species rich wildflower meadow, various wildlife ponds, and hundreds of new trees. The garden designer James Alexander-Sinclair has designed some areas of the garden, including the courtyard located between the coach house and main house. The garden has a wonderful feel of maturity due to the old trees and the lake, but as with most gardens is an ever developing work in progress.
