Ivy Cottage garden is a beautiful example of a mature cottage garden with a wide variety of unusual plants. Wimpole House has a delightful selection of roses, mature trees and shrubs and a pond brimming with life. The Manor House has a more formal garden wrapped around the building with a winding path between well-stocked borders. Church Lane is a hidden garden packed with ferns, hostas and traditional cottage plants. Fenstanton is famous for links to Capability Brown and his family. Whilst in Fenstanton you can visit Brown’s memorial in the parish church and the grave stone of one of the country’s most famous landscape gardeners. Delicious home-made teas can be enjoyed in the United Reformed Church, set in the centre of the village, a two minute stroll from all four gardens.
