Glanyrafon

Glanyrafon is one of the riverside gardens in Forge. Although belonging to a C19th cottage, the gardens have been developed over the last twenty two years. The original sloping field now forming two levels laid to lawn, fruit trees but with easily accessible paths and/or steps. The lower lawn overlooking the weir and following the River Dulas, leads to your next garden.

About Glanyrafon

Extensive groundworks were undertaken during the inception of this garden, two layers of approximately, one ton rocks were laid. This continued the wall, built as flood defence, from next door, Bwythyn Cwmraeg. Over the last few years the river has risen up over the ‘path’ but the defences have held!! The traditional front to the cottage is paved for ease of access with roses and two very productive vines.
