Wind in the Willows has over 350 shrubs and trees, informal woodland and wild gardens inc riverside and bog plantings and a collection of 80 hostas and 12 striped roses in 3 acres. A new water lily pond has been created within the river. 'Really different' was a typical visitor comment. The garden at 5 Side Road is medium sized with lawns, borders and shrubs, and many features which children will love. A big conifer has been removed and the area replanted for greater interest. 11 Ashcroft Drive a unique and not to be missed garden laid out in a Persian style stocked with typical Persian plants. The garden is a 5 min drive away from the other three. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances 31 Lower Road will not be opening as part of the group.

The three smaller gardens and one three acre garden each have a very different character. Wind in the Willows has streams each side and through the garden with the resulting dampness largely determining the range of plants shrubs and trees that thrive alongside the rivers and in the woodland garden. Worth the trip at any time of the year, much admired Wind in the Willows is a focal point but visitors will find many ideas to adapt in their own gardens in the charming and eclectic smaller gardens, new for this year a unique garden with a strong Persian influence.
