About Linden

New (five-year old) country garden set in 2 acres with formal and informal aspects. The formal garden has a large pergola with a selection of rambling roses, parterre and a small lawned area surrounded by mixed borders, and access to an orchard with a selection of heritage apples and a small soft fruit section. Steps bordered by a small woodland lead to informal terraced herbaceous beds, which in turn lead to eight small experimental growing-on beds, which currently sport a selection of ornamental grasses. A large herbaceous bed completes the garden. All plants and shrubs are propagated on site with some plants available for sale. Experimental pleaching of limes trees is in progress. The Formal garden is flat and gravelled with good wheelchair access. Upper garden may be accessed from a quiet country road.
