Longyard Cottage

Longyard Cottage is an interesting ¾ of an acre garden situated within yards of an SSSI site, a C11 church, a myriad of footpaths. This conceptual garden is based on a ‘journey’ and depicted through the use of paths which take you through three distinct areas, with its own characteristics. It’s a tactile, semi wild garden.

About Longyard Cottage

LONGYARD COTTAGE is an eclectic style cottage garden based on the concept of a ‘Journey’ – physical and metaphorical. The concept of a Journey is depicted through the use of paths some of which are clear and some more obscure. The paths, either gravel, mown grass, bark, wood or stepping stones, form the structure of the garden with the planted beds, shapes and forms being the points of interest. The garden has three relatively compact areas, each with different styles of planting.
LONGYARD COTTAGE is situated in a country lane, opposite a red telephone box, and is within yards of a small SSSI site, an 11th Century Church and a number of public footpaths.

Tea, coffee, home-made cakes, cookies scones.
