About Mikri Ellada
A small well-established town garden with an interesting use of space creating several garden rooms. Strategically placed seating areas capture the sun as it moves across the garden. Lush green foliage of palms, cordyline, olive and fig give a Mediterranean feel in contrast with established ceanothus, magnolia and buddleia.
The garden is planted to offer colour throughout the seasons. In the spring the wisteria clambers over the pergola while arum and calla lilies, Californian poppies, nigella and bluebells fill the pots and beds. There is an old standpipe water feature and small pond hiding behind grasses. In July there is an amazing display of agapanthus and an old grape vine joins the wisteria climbing over the pergola,.
