About No 2 The Old Coach House
The garden at the Old Coach House is a small green haven of rooms and adjoins the garden of 1 Ystrad House. Old Coach House garden invites visitors to move along a winding path which is edged by the top borders of shrubs, colourful perennials and circular lawns against a borrowed backdrop of the town’s Kinsley Wood. An archway of climbing rose, Lonicera and Ficus carica leads to the lower lawn which is flanked by beech hedging and apple trees. A productive greenhouse, veg patch and fruiting shrubs are surrounded by ornamentals of shrubs, hostas and ferns that lead you to a private quiet riverside woodland glade. This riverside area is a tranquil space where the garden and the natural landscape merge. There is a gateway in the fencing leading through to the garden of 1 Ystrad House where teas are served.
