About Rodmead Farm

Set in the middle of a working farm, the garden has glorious views of surrounding countryside, with Pedigree Aberdeen Angus cows and calves in the fields around. The extensive gardens have been created over the last 25 years and have lots of different areas to explore.
There is a spectacular new rill, designed by local designer, Fi Boyle, which is planted with lilies and reeds and has gently flowing water into two lower pools. From the rill, you walk across the lawn surrounded by herbaceous borders, to a formal parterre, and a walled rose garden. There is a courtyard of traditional farm buildings covered by climbing roses, surrounding a wild flower meadow. Surrounding the farm buildings are areas of ground managed for the abundant wildlife. An old farm pond with waterlilies, king cups and irises supports the ducks, coots, dragon flies and newts. The tennis court is surrounded by a crab apple orchard and native shrubs and trees.
