About Stable Court
In the middle of this delightfully exuberant garden which was started by us in 2010 and which extends to about 1.5 acres, stands the magnificent stable block with its own clock tower and a fabulous ancient lime tree. There is a shrubbery and a gravelled area with a path that leads up through the garden under rose covered arches. The grass is allowed to grow long in the wild garden and surrounds the wildlife pond which is a great favourite with swallows and house martins in summer, as well as frogs, toads and newts. Paths are cut through the grass amongst
the many trees that we have planted which are maturing wonderfully. There are lovely views over the Dorset countryside. The whole garden overflows with a mass of roses which scramble up trees and over hedges and walls. Closer to the house the garden is more formal with lawns and herbaceous borders and a terrace which is bordered with lavender and box balls. The gardens is tended entirely and exclusively by the owners.
