Stable Court

This exuberant garden was begun in 2010. Extending to about 1½ acres, it is naturalistic in style with a shrubbery, gravel garden, wild garden and pond where many trees have been planted and which are maturing wonderfully. Overflowing with roses scrambling up trees, over hedges and walls. More formal garden closer to house with lawns and herbaceous borders. Lovely views over Dorset countryside.

About Stable Court

In the middle of this delightfully exuberant garden which was started by us in 2010 and which extends to about 1.5 acres, stands the magnificent stable block with its own clock tower and a fabulous ancient lime tree. There is a shrubbery and a gravelled area with a path that leads up through the garden under rose covered arches. The grass is allowed to grow long in the wild garden and surrounds the wildlife pond which is a great favourite with swallows and house martins in summer, as well as frogs, toads and newts. Paths are cut through the grass amongst
the many trees that we have planted which are maturing wonderfully. There are lovely views over the Dorset countryside. The whole garden overflows with a mass of roses which scramble up trees and over hedges and walls. Closer to the house the garden is more formal with lawns and herbaceous borders and a terrace which is bordered with lavender and box balls. The gardens is tended entirely and exclusively by the owners.
