Steeple Aston Gardens

Steeple Aston, often considered the most easterly of the Cotswold villages, is a beautiful stone-built village with gardens that provide a wide range of interest. A stream meanders down the hill as the landscape changes from sand to clay. The open gardens inc small floriferous cottage gardens, large landscaped gardens, natural woodland areas, ponds and bog gardens, themed borders and allotments. The gardens provide something for everyone from a courtyard garden to a former walled kitchen garden and so much in between.

The Longbyre – This ¼ acre garden incl mixed perennials, shrubs, tubs and an extensive water feature set in an old orchard.
Primrose Gardens – A surprising walled garden (1 acre) including herbaceous borders, island beds, pond marginal planting and large newly developed vegetable and soft fruit area.
Combe Pyne – This lovely garden has a front garden with mixed herbaceous borders with a well planted rose bed leading to a back garden, primarily laid out for growing a wide range of vegetables.

The Pound House has a wonderful mix of flower beds, shrubs and mature trees and has recently been landscaped to create a superb outdoor living space.
The Church Allotments. A superb example of allotments for all uses with a communal building and well worth a visit simply for the diverse approach to gardening.

Refreshments include home-made cake, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
