About The Haven

Hidden away from view, this fabulous plantsman’s garden on the edge of Plymouth showcases, among other things, a substantial collection of large flowering Asiatic and hybrid tree magnolias. Spring bulbs and hellebores welcome you into this secluded garden as it opens out into an area of lawn surrounded by stunning magnolias. There is plenty of seating dotted around, including next to the pond. The tearoom offers indoor seating and a great selection of cakes. Rare dwarf and weeping conifers provide a dramatic backdrop for the vibrant colours of azaleas and rhododendrons. A large collection of camelias, including camelia reticulata, is carefully distributed around the sloping garden drawing you into its heart. An experience not be missed.
