About The Manor House, Beaminster

The Manor, Beaminster is set in in the heart of the town. 16 acres Parkland with stunning mature trees, the house (NOT open) built in mid 1700s. The walled garden hides behind a grand gateway. The walled garden was designed and planted from scratch 15 years ago and is now maturing beautifully with a pergola covered in wisteria, climbing roses and honeysuckle. Peonies, Iris and roses en masse and a beautiful contemporary water feature. Also some interesting pieces of sculpture, a beautiful mix of old & new. There is a Victorian cascade and a large lake in the garden with ducks and black swans. Meet Bob, Roly & Holly our Pygmy goats & Guinea pigs Capacinno & Ruby. Bring a picnic, the garden is open all day. Afternoon teas are served in the Coach House garden.
