About The Mill House
This romantic large millhouse garden is situated in a tiny lane in the conservation area of this old village and has been created by plantswoman Sarah Marsh over the last 8 years. Large specimens such as a Magnolia tree and Acers have been successfully transplanted from a previous garden. Sinuous borders are packed with colour throughout the seasons but with a wonderful display of Tulips in the spring. Ancient Yews and Box trees edged with old brick paths complete the picture. Container plantings on the terrace reflect the seasons with exotics rubbing shoulders with other unusual plants. A large white Rambling Rector rose cascades over an old shed which is decorated with old garden implements beside the parterre which leads onto a secret path through the herbaceous borders to a view of the river.
