About Mountbatten Hospice
An award-winning Chelsea Garden is part of Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s beautiful outside space. Designed by Greenfingers and opened by Alan Titchmarsh in 2016, the tranquil gardens are lovingly tended to by dedicated volunteers. Complimenting a variety of flowers and features, the gardens are enjoyed by patients, families, visitors, staff and volunteers, offering a space for social connections, quiet contemplation, reflection and a backdrop for outdoor events.
A garden of tranquility with a variety of interesting planted areas that includes trees, shrubs, herbaceous, grasses, water feature and decking with an abundance of wildlife. Wander from area to area and admire the interesting plantings, or sit and reflect in a quiet corner or take refreshment in the Mountbatten café serving cream teas, cakes and light refreshments.
