About Oasis Garden - Your Place
Completely surrounded by Victorian red brick terraced housing, this working garden produces up to 15,000 plants per year, all grown from seed or cuttings by local volunteers of all ages and abilities.
Developed from a derelict builders yard 18 years ago by the Grimsby Neighbourhood Church, the mature gardens now comprise of lawns, under 5’s playground, fruit and vegetable gardens, a burgeoning orchard , shrubberies, perennial and annual flowerbeds with an extensive range of plants, all of which are raised on site in a 76 ft polytunnel
While you are in the area, why not also visit Buffalo Bills Pocket Park – a colourful, tranquil, and peaceful garden, just a short walk from the Oasis Garden. They would love you to look around and meet their volunteers. Youngsters will be able to take part in a scavenger hunt. You will find Buffalo Bills Pocket Park on the corner of Durban Road and Humberstone (postcode DN32 8BX). Free car park adjacent to the park.
